1. Who is responsible
The provider named in the legal notice is responsible for the Glimli app and this website. Contact: glimli@luhzifer.net
2. In short
Glimli does not collect any personal data. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics or tracking, and the app sends no data to us or to anyone else. It asks for no permissions – no camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos or notifications.
3. Data in the app
- Settings such as light color, start brightness, effect, sleep timer, sound, wake-up time and a count of the days you used Glimli (only so it asks for a rating at most once) are stored on your device only. They never leave it, except as part of your own device or iCloud backup, which Apple is responsible for.
- Screen brightness: Glimli changes the brightness only while it is in the foreground and restores your setting when you leave.
- Sounds are generated live on your device. Nothing is downloaded and nothing is recorded.
- Charging state: for the sunrise, Glimli checks on the device whether a charger is connected. This is neither stored nor transmitted.
- Ratings are requested through Apple's standard interface. Apple alone processes whether and how you rate.
4. Purchase through the App Store
Glimli is distributed through Apple's App Store. Apple handles purchase, payment, download, Family Sharing and code redemption under Apple's privacy policy. We receive no payment or contact details from Apple – only aggregated, anonymous sales figures and, if you agreed to share with developers in your device settings, anonymous crash reports. None of this identifies you.
5. Contacting us by email
If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR) and delete them once your request is settled, unless the law requires us to keep them.
6. This website
The website uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party content (not even external fonts). To deliver pages and prevent abuse, the server necessarily processes your IP address, date and time, the page requested and your browser identifier (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). If this is written to server log files, it is deleted after 14 days at the latest.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. As the app collects no personal data, we hold no data about you from using it.
8. Changes
If the app changes, we will update this policy. The version published here applies.
